Waveguide Transition is designed to provide low-loss, impedance-matched signal transition between different waveguide sizes, bands, or interfaces.

Precision-machined to ensure excellent RF performance, it is suitable for broadband, high-frequency, and high-power applications.

Advanced Engineering for Waveguide Transitions

Optimized Impedance Matching: Our waveguide transitions feature mathematically optimized linear or multi-step tappers designed to provide an incredibly smooth geometric transition between different waveguide sizes (such as from WR-42 down to WR-12). This precise internal profiling ensures stable impedance matching, minimizes signal reflections, and suppresses higher-order mode generation across broad mmWave and THz bands.

High-Precision EDM & Monolithic Internal Machining: Transition components require strict internal dimensional consistency. By utilizing state-of-the-art CNC milling and high-precision wire EDM, we achieve strict internal tolerances down to ±0.005mm. This micron-level accuracy guarantees that the internal steps or tapers align perfectly with the input and output sizes, ensuring exceptional RF performance even in high-power applications.

Flange Alignment & Interface Integrity: Equipped with standard compatible precision flanges (including UG-595/U, UG-383/U, and UG-387/U), each transition is designed with high mechanical stability in mind. Accurate positioning of alignment pins ensures a seamless, gap-free mechanical connection with your existing microwave and millimeter-wave transmission networks, eliminating RF leakage at the junctions.

Superior Surface Finish & Material Selection: Available in premium Brass and Lightweight Aluminum. To counteract the skin depth effects that escalate at higher frequencies (from 75 GHz up to 300 GHz), all internal surfaces undergo precision plating (Gold Plating or Silver Plating). This ensures an ultra-smooth internal surface roughness (Ra), drastically reducing insertion loss and maintaining long-term reliable conductivity.
