Engineering Specifications for Standard Gain Conical Horn Antennas (20dB & 25dB)
High Gain Accuracy & Multimode Support: Engineered for precise 20dB and 25dB nominal gain configurations, our standard gain conical horn antennas provide exceptional calibration stability across the 90 GHz to 400 GHz frequency spectrum. Their inherent axial symmetry makes them ideal for applications requiring circular polarization, linear polarization, or polarization-diversity measurements in advanced mmWave and terahertz test systems.
Optimized Beam Symmetry & Low Side Lobes: Thanks to mathematically calculated smooth conical profiles, these antennas offer highly symmetrical radiation patterns across both the E-plane and H-plane. This superior symmetry drastically suppresses unwanted side lobes and optimizes the main beam efficiency, providing a highly predictable, stable radiation pattern necessary for far-field radar cross-section (RCS) testing and laboratory reference standards.
Ultra-Precision Monolithic Machining: Operating at sub-millimeter wave frequencies requires uncompromising mechanical execution. Utilizing state-of-the-art CNC turning and internal precise boring techniques, we maintain rigid internal dimensional tolerances down to ±0.005mm This strict micro-machining ensures an incredibly low internal surface roughness (Ra), minimizing waveguide attenuation and protecting the phase center stability at the horn aperture.
Robust Flange Interfacing & Premium Metallurgy: Machined from high-grade Brass, Aluminum, or Oxygen-Free Copper to ensure long-term mechanical integrity. Each conical horn is terminated with industry-standard, precision compatible flanges (such as UG-387/U-M) equipped with exact alignment pin configurations, ensuring reflection-free, gapless mechanical alignment with your vector network analyzer (VNA) extenders and transmitter modules.
